“Everyone is gifted – but some people never open their package.”
An Anonymous Author
Your action for today is to reflect on what are a few of your gifts and be mindful of using one of them.
I feel that one of my best gifts to other’s is my way of being. I know this sounds a bit nutty but I try really hard to be 100% genuine with people in every situation. You are given many different gifts in life and I hope you are using as many as you can to better the world and the people around you.

Here’s your “QuoteAction” of the day:
“If a man does not make new acquaintances as he advances through life, he will soon find himself left alone; one should keep his friendships in constant repair.”
Author, Dr. Samuel Johnson
Your action for today is to invite one of your acquaintances to lunch.
Oh my Goodness! This is such a great action item for business networking. I always to try take at least one person to lunch every week! If you are about improving your networking skills, then this action item is very easy. Pick a potential client, business partner or even a vendor and invite them out to lunch. Usually I try to schedule 2 or 3 lunches with people who are in my network and sometimes I even will put together several people who I think should know each other and head out to an easy luck time networking event! You never know what can happen at these simple lunches but I can tell you since you have to eat anyways, why not network while eating that sandwich? Something else you might consider is connecting with someone in your area you are connected to on Facebook or linkedIn. Just this morning I saw that one of my Facebook friends is here taping a new show for her company and when I saw it on her page, I shot her an email and now we will meet in person in about an hour!! Invite someone to lunch at least once a week! If we are not connected on Facebook, I would love to see you there! Maybe we can even go to lunch? Casey on Facebook here.

Here’s your “QuoteAction” of the day:
“The greatest wealth is health.”
Ancient Roman Poet, Virgil
Your action for today is to think of one thing you can do to improve your health and start doing it.
This is very interesting. Just this morning before I even read this quote, I was trying to see what I could do to increase my health. I recommitted this morning to go for a 5 mile walk at least 3 times a week. I know it is not much but it is a small step in the right direction. The other thing I have started doing and it has been really easy even though I thought it would be hard is to drink 100 oz. of water every day. I have a shaker for protein shakes that is 25 oz and it has been pretty easy to fill it 4 times a day while I am sitting at the computer sipping away. If you are in a network marketing company that has a healthy product, please feel free to leave a comment with a link to your site plus a little description. I have been using an awesome product that has been great for me to increase my health. I have had over 72 people join me on a quest to better health by buying a canister of this cool superfood. If you would be interested in having a further conversation about this superfood, watch the videos and add you name to the waiting list. I will give you a shout only if you are on the waiting list. No hassles. Check it out here.

“When the wind rises, some people build walls, others build windmills.”
Chinese Proverb
Your action for today is to take a current situation that is challenging and look for the opportunity it presents for you.
I hope you will take this one to heart! I will say that whenever I am out at a networking event, one of the things I try my hardest to do is finding an opportunity for someone I have just met. I actually make it a little bit of a game to see if I can create some sort of win for someone that is in the room. I would love your thoughts on this one, so if you have come up with an opportunity out of something that has beed difficult, please leave a comment.
As an aside, I just want you to know how much I value you as a reader of my blog. Thank you form the bottom of my little networking heart!!

“To live a creative life, we must lose our fear of being wrong.”
Author, Joseph Chilton Pearce
Your action for today is to see if you can do something to tackle one of your fears.
This is a very interesting quote today as most people come to me to get over a very specific fear and that is the fear of networking. Most of the business people I talk to are so afraid of being wrong when it comes to networking that they would rather just not attend any mixers or such just on the off chance they would do something wrong. The funny part is, how do you do something wrong when in fact there are not a ton of rules? We will talk more about some of the “right” things you can be doing at networking events over the next few weeks. If you keep in mind that your purpose when networking is to bring value and content to your network, I think you will feel less “wrong” Go have an awesome fun day of networking with some new people and forget about the rules for a few minutes. See if you can add some value to someone’s conversation.

This is such good advice! One thing that totally helped me stay inside a positive state throughout the day before it became a habit was to carry a simple green rock in my pocket that simply says “Smile”. I know it is really high tech but seriously, if you are going to be out in the world drumming up business, people would much rather deal with someone in a positive up beat mood. I also always try to smile as I am dialing a person on the phone event though they can’t see me with their eyes, my mood comes through on the phone and is usually met with a like mood on the other end of the phone. Smile Smile Smile!
