Hi Casey, OK, last one, I have to get so me shut-eye. I always say that God gave us two ears and one mouth: So we do twice as much listening as we do speaking!!

Often we listen half-way because we are two focused on what WE are going to say.

Listening is the greatest skill we can teach ourselves.

This is good to do, not only in sales, but also in real life. When my husband and I are having a disagreement and he starts getting ugly, I completely stop talking and I just listen to him. I let him continue to babble. It’s quite amusing but I don’t say anything and I stay calm. Later on as he reviews the conversation in his head all he remembers is his ignorant rant, and comes back to me sheepishly to talk and or make up. It takes self discipline but it can be done.
